About Cadence

We believe work should work.

Growth exposes what good people can no longer compensate for. When the systems underneath an organization don't keep pace, leaders become bottlenecks, communication breaks down, priorities compete, great employees burn out, and results become harder to repeat.

Cadence exists because these problems are too often treated as people problems when they're really systems problems. We build the structure behind great work—so leaders can lead, teams can thrive, and organizations can grow without adding more weight to an already-wobbly foundation.

Angela McMillan

Founder & architect of the Cadence Management Operating System

Angela has spent more than 15 years inside growing organizations, watching the same story repeat: talented people, working hard, held back by inconsistent systems. Managers promoted without a playbook. Teams relying on memory instead of documentation. Growth that felt harder than it should.

She founded Cadence on a simple conviction — most leadership challenges aren't actually leadership problems. They're systems problems. And systems problems can be solved.

Her work centers on the people inside the organization: building the clarity, process, and connection that help team members thrive, own their work, and see their impact.

Vision

A world where great leadership is built into how organizations work—not dependent on heroic feats from a few overworked people.

Mission

We build management operating systems that give leaders and teams the clarity, ownership, and consistency to lead better, work better, and grow without relying on heroics.

What We Stand For

Four principles behind every system.

01

Clarity

People perform better when expectations are clear.

02

Ownership

People take initiative when decision rights are defined.

03

Consistency

Repeatable systems produce repeatable results.

04

Momentum

Organizations grow when leadership becomes scalable.

Cadence works with organizations of roughly 10–200 employees that have outgrown informal ways of working — founder-led companies, nonprofits, associations, and growing service businesses ready for growth that feels sustainable instead of chaotic.
